June 2nd BPC meeting - “Birding at the Orlando Wetlands” by Jack Rogers
Jack Rogers is a prize-winning, widely published bird and nature photographer who has been photographing birds and other wildlife for decades. Jack leads workshops and presents a variety of seminars here in Florida each year and recently retired from his tenure of teaching nature photography at Valencia College in Orlando. He is also a great supporter of Florida’s conservation organizations, and his images may be seen on their websites, pamphlets, and signposts across the state.
During this presentation Jack will use lots of great images captured over decades photographing birds in Florida and around the world to provide insights and ideas that you can use to bring your avian photography skills to the next level. The discussion will include camera settings for different situations, tips on how to improve bird-in-flight photography, preparation for successful field photo outings, and much more. Whether you are just beginning as a bird photographer or have been at it for years, you are sure to learn something new that you can apply to make your next photo outing successful and productive.
